Oyster and Dairy Foods:

Lets Get Started!!!!!
Food combining is also known as food synergy. It is generally saying that eat whole foods that complement each other nutritionally. It is not only the type of food or how many nutritious food you consume; it is concern about the way you eat. For instance, when you enjoy broccoli together with tomatoes, the phytochemicals in each food will interact with each other and enhance your antioxidants absorption. This is an agent which can fight against disease and enhance their function, and are “in synergy” (Sanitarium., n.d.).

However, when we drink tea or coffee after meals contain iron (broccoli, spinach, etc), the iron absorption will reduce. Tea and coffee should be used several hours before a meal high in iron.

Milk+Dairy Product -> Adverse effect
In this topic, we are going to discuss about repercussions after taken oyster together with dairy products especially milk. There is a myth saying that oyster and milk or dairy products cannot be eaten together because it can caused chemical reaction that results in food poisoning.

High doses, 50 milligrams of zinc may cause vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, exhaustion, and other symptoms. These amounts can interfere with copper metabolism and depress HDL-cholesterol and immune functions.”( Jane Higdon., 2003)

Furthermore, diminished calcium absorption has been observed with ingestion of zinc supplements when calcium intake is low which is <300mg> calcium. However, calcium absorption appears to be unaffected by zinc when calcium intake is it adequate levels. Somehow, calcium and magnesium absorption will be lowered down when there is excess zinc taken.
